'Twas my birthday

I had my birthday on Friday and my arohanui friends got a creamed bun to share with me for morning tea, we all had fun trying to blow the candles out! I love this time of year

Strawberry patch

Had a visitor

My friend Jenny came to see me I show her our new gates

My knee pads

Kevin came this morning to the studio and he has taken my knee pads to be rebuilt. That means I will more comfortable when they come back. The plan is they will be back on Friday for the weekend.

Craft cafe xmas goodies

Check out this awesome xmas lolly tree, it was so much fun to create, but I can bet it will be more fun to eat!!

Food bank

I helped put at the food bank this week, I even got a cuppa! I was super helpful holding all the rice portions!

Roadworks

In Te Puke there is heaps and heaps of roadworks everywhere you look. I went out to especially see the digger at work. I think the controls are like my mine that work my wheelchair.

Supervising the gardening

We went to our garden and got rid of slugs and snails, leaf matter and a few weeds, it's looking good, we should have a stellar crop of tomatoes for the summer. I watched and gave direction, it's great to get out and about!

I'm enjoying playing memory match, off to a good start, I wonder who will win this round?

Mixing the batter

I'm getting my mix on, I have a blast doing my cooking, I love learning new recipes and trying new delights.

Having a look at a war exhibition

We had the opportunity to visit a war exhibit, the unexpected heroes, at the citz club, it's not too often we get to see or hold an empty shell!! It was pretty exciting.

Something fishy round here

Check out my driftwood and sequin fish that Vanessa is helping me create, I love the colours, but I think he needs a tail!

Movable fish

To expand on my love of fishing, Tracey helped me create a movable fish out of card paper, I love the colours!

Exploring with chalk boards

The paint didn't work properly on our canvas so we are going to explore using chalks, I really enjoy painting and the end result should be a cool whale!

Friday buy lunch day

If I've had a good week, I look forward to my reward of buying lunch, I help go to the shop and place my order, fish and chips are my favourite, with plenty of tomato sauce! Yum!

Cooking fun

I really love my cooking classes, it's awesome to help measure and mix, but the best part is the finished results, YUM!

Shell canvas art

I've been busy working on a shell canvas art project, using shells, spray paint and glue, it reminds me of the beach in summer!

Making over my wind chimes

I've been working on making over the shell wind chimes we had made in craft cafe, we've put some gold and some silver paint on them, they look like outer space shells now!

Guys group and cooking

We went out for guys group to see how the new cafe up the road was coming along, and I'm still really loving baking this week

Busy week of doing!

I am really enjoying my cooking classes. I also had a blast in guys group, checking out the bait for the upcoming fishing season, dreaming of summer!

Master baker!

Wet weather music movie fun!

It's just started feeling like winter in TP today, in the cold, wet weather, we are watching the Lion King for our music session, enjoying singing along to old favourites!

Shopping at the warehouse

This morning we went to get some resources for us to use at the studio. We hope to make some fruit bowls for gifts.

Maketu

The beach outing was really good. I was worried that if I went on the sand my chair would get stuck. Gena said to stay on the ramp.

Cricket

Anyone for cricket. I think we need to make the most out of our sunny days as winter will be here soon.

Tomatoes

We are coming to the last of our tomatoes that we have grown at the studio. We decided to cook the little ones this morning.

Marshall doin

I have been busy the last few weeks making a paper mâché pig. I have under coated my pig this morning.

Beach

We went to the beach on Friday and had a picnic lunch. Some of us collected some shells and some Pumas for ARt back at the studio.

Community Garden

Just take a look at this silverbeet that we picked from our plot at the garden. There was absolutely heaps for us all. Lucky.

Over the holidays I was lucky to be given a couple of new wristbands. I have quite a few now.
